Anker is now selling its Android projector-Bluetooth speaker combo for $349

Anker’s sub-brand Nebula, which is focused on home theater and launched its first projector product last year, is now bringing a miniaturized version to general availability after a successful Indiegogo campaign. First unveiled in September of last year, the Nebula Capsule is a soda can-sized, Android-based DLP projector that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. It takes all the learnings Anker gathered when developing its Nebula Mars DLP projector, which is a much larger portable unit, and shrinks it down into a package no different in design than a 12-ounce can. Anker announced today at CES that it’s selling the device now on Amazon for $349.99, while it was available at early bird pricing of $199 / $269 during the Indiegogo campaign.

The specs aren’t stellar. The projector only hits a resolution of 854 x 480 pixel, and it still uses the rather clunky third-party version of Android TV that you get on the Mars projector. It also clocks in at only 100 lumens, making it competitive with only the most basic of pico projectors. But a single charge does grant you 4 hours of video playback and up to 30 hours of music playback on average volume. And with dimensions of 4.7 by 2.7 inches, the device is about as portable as you can get while still retaining sound quality good enough to handle louder-than-normal tunes.
