The greatest athlete of all time, Serena Williams, is returning to play her first tournament after giving birth in September. The last time she played was at the 2017 Australian Open, which she won while she was eight weeks pregnant with her baby. To surprise his wife while she’s on her way to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, next week, Alexis Ohanian set up four billboards along the Palm Springs highway with adorable images of their daughter, Alexis Jr., which say, “Greatest momma of all time. G.M.O.A.T.”
Maybe you’d feel differently if your partner put up four billboards declaring their love for you, and that’s fine! Our newsroom was definitely mixed on this, with a certain soon-to-be father declaring that his wife would “straight up murder” him and that “it would not be a long time between the billboards going up and [his] death.” But just read this Vogue article on Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams’ meet-cute and fairy-tale wedding, and you’ll be convinced it’s possibly the sweetest surprise.

And as if this weren’t enough of a heart-wrenchingly delightful display of affection and support, Ohanian is also in the middle of petitioning Unicode to include interracial couple emoji in collaboration with Tinder. He’s really nailing this husband thing.
